Tammy Foster, Threes Class
Tammy grew up in Rhode Island. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Child Development and Family Relations. She completed her Masters' degree in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in Reading at S.U.N.Y. New Paltz.
Tammy has worked with children for the past 30+ years. Her teaching career began at the University of Rhode Island Child Development Center where she developed and implemented an After Kindergarten Program for children who attended half day kindergarten and wanted a program that would further develop the skills they were learning at the public school.
She taught kindergarten at Noxon Road Elementary School for 10 years, and nursery school at Wimpfheimer School at Vassar College for 2 years where she worked with 3 and 4 year old children and supervised and guided college students from Vassar and Marist College.
During the years that she was raising her own children she often substituted and did aesthetic work throughout their nursery school, Rainbows End Child Development Center.
Tammy teaches Sunday School to the children of the Reformed Church and is renowned as the energetic story teller of the church's popular Vacation Bible School.
Tammy has worked here at the Reformed Church Weekday Nursery School for the past 11 years as teacher of the Three Year Old class. She enjoys working with the children, parents, and her colleagues, and loves to make learning a fun and meaningful experience for all.
Tammy is married to Bill (1983) and has 2 grown boys; Ben and Zach.
Tammy enjoys baking, singing, crafting, time at the beach and time with family.
Cindy Beverley, Fours Class
Cindy grew up in New Jersey. She graduated from Kean University with a BA in Early Childhood / Elementary Education. She completed her Masters' degree in Literacy from Gordon College.
She has taught Three Year Olds at Brewster Co-Op Nursery School, worked as a paraprofessional play therapist in the Hyde Park School District, and taught 1st grade for 16 years at Faith Christian Academy.
She is married to Bob (1978) and has three grown children; Laura, Michelle, and Aaron, as well as a grandson; Victor.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, photography, gardening, baseball, and spending time with her family.
